No matter how hard you look, you won’t find a more joyful hour of entertainment on the Fringe. – ★★★★★
The Choir of Man is 60 minutes of unadulterated entertainment that combines high energy music, dance, live percussion and foot stomping choreography with the incredible talent of 9 ordinary guys who perform everything from sing-along anthems to classic rock. Our on-stage pub has a real working bar from which the cast pull pints and invite audience members to get up close and personal with the show – witnessing the action from chairs and tables among the guys – come ready to drink in the action!
In 2016 I began developing The Choir of Man with Director-Producer Nic Doodson, setting out to create the ultimate joyous music show which would leave every audience grinning as they exit the theatre. Building on the creative partnership we formed whilst creating Gobsmacked!, and enlisting some new creative forces, we premiered the show at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival to rave reviews and packed out houses.
I am the show’s Arranger and Musical Director, it is directed by Nic Doodson, and choreographed by Freddie Huddleston. The Associate Director is James Fortune, and is produced by Nic Doodson and Andrew Kay.
In 2018, The Choir of Man will be performed in New York, Adelaide, Melbourne, Edinburgh, London, and on an extensive 6 month USA tour.
